Seychelles: Exploring Desroches Island in Style
We recently had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Seychelles, and it was truly a tropical escape like no other. We started our adventure on Mahé, the main island, where we stayed at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort. From there, we embarked on an exciting journey to the breathtaking Desroches Island, another gem of the Four Seasons, where we spent most of our trip. |
After spending a few blissful days in Mahé, we were ready for the next leg of our adventure: Desroches Island. To reach this hidden gem, we boarded a propeller plane for a scenic flight across the Indian Ocean. The experience itself was incredible, as the aerial views of the turquoise waters and coral atolls below were simply breathtaking. This short yet exciting flight took us to the serene and secluded Desroches, where our tropical escape continued. |
Fun Facts About Desroches Island: • Desroches Island is part of the Amirante Islands and is entirely encircled by coral reefs, making it a hotspot for marine life. • The island was historically a coconut plantation, and you can still see remnants of this in the island’s design. • Giant tortoises freely roam the island, a true highlight for nature lovers. • TropicSurf provides surfing experiences, allowing visitors to ride waves in an exclusive, uncrowded setting. • Desroches is only accessible by propeller plane, making the journey itself a unique and scenic adventure. • With only one resort on the island, Desroches offers an unparalleled sense of privacy and tranquility. |
Despite the warm climate, Esra stayed comfortable and chic in her lightweight cashmere bralettes and knickers throughout our trip. Whether it was for a beach walk or a cozy evening, the breathable and versatile fabric fit perfectly into our tropical wardrobe. |
